Dr Stuart Aitken 

Stuart is a specialist sexual health physician. He graduated from Medicine at the University of Queensland, and completed specialist training in 2006. He has worked as Senior Staff Specialist at Gold Coast Sexual Health before commencing private practice. 

He practices in all areas of sexual health, but his special interests are in HIV medicine, PrEP for HIV, gender medicine, herpes infections, skin conditions affecting the genitals and sexually transmissible infections. 

Stuart is the author of textbook chapters and journal articles, and is a contributor to several national guidelines. He is committed to medical education, and has taught medical students at University of Queensland, Griffith University and Bond University Medical Schools. He taught in University of Queensland’s postgraduate courses in HIV Medicine and Sexual Health for over ten years. He currently teaches doctors and nurses at True Relationships (formerly Family Planning Queensland) and is a senior lecturer in medicine at Griffith University. He is regularly invited as a speaker at conferences.
